Victor Avina
SENIOR ASSOCIATE
Victor Avina brings to Falcon Strategies a strategic perspective, focused at the intersection of government, policy and business.
Prior to joining Falcon Strategies, Victor served as a senior land use advisor at the San Diego County Board of Supervisors from 2015 to 2020. During his time there, he advised two county supervisors on issues dealing with land-use, transportation and energy infrastructure, storm water, and the environment. Victor also coordinated intergovernmental relations with regional government agencies like the Port of San Diego, where he was instrumental in securing $25 million in County funds for public infrastructure for the Chula Vista Bayfront project. Victor also served as advisor to Supervisor Cox during his term as a California Coastal Commissioner and on the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority. Victor was proud to assist with the strategy and advocacy for the $300 million in federal infrastructure funding for the Tijuana River Valley sewage issue along the U.S. - Mexico border.
Victor earned a Bachelor’s degree in business management in 2012 and a Masters in Business Administration in 2020 from San Diego State University’s Fowler College of Business. He resides in Little Italy, where he and his wife Alexis welcomed their first-born son Luca in April 2020.
